The Australian Council
for the
Mission to Seafarers Inc.

The Australian Council oversees, supports and encourages the work of every Mission to Seafarers (MTS) and other seafarer centres around Australia. We strive to promote an atmosphere of family, a sense of service and solidarity among those in maritime ministry, and strengthen ties between Australian and international Seafarers centres to reinforce our global MTS family and support networks.

We maintain a close connection and friendship with MTS International Headquarters in London on behalf of all MTS centres in Australia.

The Council also employs a National Executive Officer (Regional Director) to coordinate and organise the executive work of the Council.

The work of the Australian Council is guided by the Constitution and Canons of the
Anglican Church of Australia.
